  • 1967 Nathu La and Cho La clashes – India repelled Chinese incursions in Sikkim.
  • 1987 Sino-Indian skirmish – A tense standoff in Arunachal Pradesh, but no full-scale war.
  • 2020 Galwan Valley clash – A deadly hand-to-hand combat incident in Ladakh, resulting in casualties on both sides.

Former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque has landed in hot water over his alleged ties to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs), stirring political and legal debates. His name has surfaced in multiple investigations, raising questions about lobbying, legal ethics, and accountability. Lobbying or Legal Representation? Roque’s alleged involvement with Lucky South 99, a POGO firm, sparked controversy when PAGCOR Chairman Alejandro Tengco testified that Roque lobbied on its behalf regarding unpaid dues. Roque denied this, claiming he only represented the property lessor, Whirlwind Corporation, not the gaming firm itself. Despite his rebuttals, the issue snowballed into a full-blown congressional probe.
